How did you feel going sans socks with the suit? I did it a few weeks ago with my charcoal tropical weight and had mixed feelings. I think it was because of the black oxfords I was wearing. Oh, the reason for going sockless? I forgot my socks. Haha
Honestly? Kind of bad ass. If I was working in an office, I might not. But, since I wear a suit by choice, and although I think coherence is important, I like some fuckery. The olive coloured suit, the horizontal stripes, the large polka dots already put this well into casual territory, even if most people who saw me on the street undoubtedly assumed I was off to work on Bay Street (who else wears a suit?). Sockless fits, especially since most people wouldn’t realize.
I love socks. I think they are a great way to accessorize. But, this summer, my favourite socks will be those that came as part of my birthday suit.
That said, once it’s cool enough to add a scarf, if you’re not wearing socks, you look like an incoherent dunderhead.
